PYCELLE: As her supervisor I would describe Melinsandre’s progress as quite remarkable. Taking into account her dedication to R’hllor and her aid in defending the Wall against the white walkers, I recommend her release.

MACE: Melisandre, do you regret your crimes?

MELISANDRE: Yes. And I’m aware of the pain that I have caused.

MACE: If released, will you commit those crimes again?

MELISANDRE: No. No, I won’t.

MACE: Do you consider yourself ready to be released back into Westeros?

MELISANDRE: Yes, I do.

SHADOW: (interrupting the proceedings) Yeah, right, Melisandre, you’re ready all right.

SHADOW: (holds out doll to Melisandre) Remember this? Do you remember this, Melisandre? Remember who it belonged to?

MELISANDRE: (nods)

SHADOW: What did you do to Princess Shireen, Melisandre?

MELISANDRE: That’s not fair, Shadow.

SHADOW: What did you do to that little girl, Melisandre?

MELISANDRE: (long pause – smiles) I burned her.

SHADOW: What do you do to soldiers who refuse to pledge allegiance to the Lord of Light, Melisandre?

MELISANDRE: (chuckles) Burn them.

SHADOW: And what about the realm, Melisandre? What would you like to do to the whole realm?

MELISANDRE: Burn it all.

SHADOW: See you next year, Melisandre.
