Speaking of sploosh!! didya get a hold of all the CBS foofs going all in FOAR Gonzaga in they Final Four picks??  I mean, I get that this is, by far, the easiest of the regions…but no fucking region is that easy.  The Zags are still the 4th or 5th best team here, depending on how you feel about Notre Dame and all the goddamned 3s they jack up (not to be confused with all the priests they jac…..)

Have you noticed how nobody ever talks about the job Sean Miller is doing at Arizona??  He won the regular season and tourney titles in the PAC 12, outpacing both of the more talked about glamour sides (UCLA, Oregon).  Is it because he’s a fat guy??  Wait, is he still fat, or did he lose a bunch of weight??  I guess if you coach basketball in the desert, you get covered as such, unless it’s in Vegas, baby.

Who Can Reasonably Win?  In addition to AZ, there is the ginormous, athletic, deep Florida State team that can’t possibly want to piss off Coach Leonard Hamilton.  WCS’ Cousinfuckers will defend you to death, go up 10-15, then miss 60% of their free throws down the stretch and probably kill him.  But if they get past a Notre Dame team that is designed to give them fits…look out.  I believe the Irish are too dependent on the perimeter (as they showed in the ACCT final), but they have all teh seniors, and are irritating as fuck to play against.

Who Can Make a Little Run?  The Northwestern/Vandy winner!  DUH!!  Also watch out for VCU and Xavier in the lower half of the bracket.  The former because they are pretty good and well-coached, the latter because MD is dog shit.  Xavier/FSU would be funner ‘n hayeeeelll, as Early Cuyler would say.

And the Hippo Oscar Goes To…  Arizona (confidence level – high).  This feels like the elder Miller’s year to me.  I will pick AZ to win this region almost every time, and win the whole shebang more often than not.  My office pool being in North Cakalaky contributes extra weight to that, though.
