Your “Beware The Ides of March, and 15-Seeds too” Wednesday Evening Open Thread

NFL News:

  • Revis Island is no longer an Alcatraz offshoot, as the Pittsburgh assault charges against him have been dismissed.
    • he then doubled-down on Pittsburgh, saying he’d love to play for the Steelers.
    • he’s still on Rog’s radar, because the League will investigate under the personal conduct policy.
  • Dont’a Hightower is staying with the Patriots, signing a 4-year deal worth $43.5 million.
  • Former Michigan CB Jourdan Lewis is facing a domestic violence charge, which will surely affect his third-round projection.
    • a deleted tweet applies blame shifting onto the victim:
      • It’s sad that somebody would want to control you so bad they would ruin your life over it.
        • Jourdan Lewis (@JourdanJD) March 15, 2017
    • sounds like a Cowboys draft pick to me!

Finally, in a hilarious observation related to the NFL and performance-based pay, nfl.com notes that the one possession Romo played in Week-17 earned him an extra $64.11. That’ll cover the tip for the moving company’s lunch.

It’s Spring Break still, so today I took a trip to a local provincial park. Golden Ears Provincial Park, to be exact.

It was lightly raining, which was nice, because it cut down on the casual hikers.

Naturally, I took the dog. We followed Gold Creek to the lake. She had a blast.

I know some Commentists have had pet issues lately. I just thought I’d share some happy dog photos to hopefully give you a smile during otherwise not-fun times.
