The Bleergh Report – Divisional weekend

ALL HAIL BLEERGH.

In tribute to Bleergh, here’s the Divisional weekend best and worst penalties. Here’s a random breakdown of this weeks penalties.  I’m not going to even try to find the tape for these, nor am I making any judgement call on the individual penalties.  I’m sure that there are plays that should have been called and were not, and other plays where the penalty wasn’t needed, depending on your fandom.

Here are the best (in the eyes of Bleergh) penalties of the week:

Team Penalty Result
NO Offensive Holding This nullified a TD. haha
LA DPI 16 yard penalty
LA Unnecessary Roughness 15 yard penalty
IND Unsportsmanlike Conduct 15 yard penalty
KC DPI 14 yard penalty
IND Defensive offside 5 Yard penalty, but revered an interception.

Here are the worst (in the eyes of Bleergh) penalties of the week.  Not much fun this week.

Team Penalty Result
NO DPI 4 yards
A bunch at 5 yards

For multiple penalties, there’s no update this week.  I wasn’t able to find a list this week, so am doing this from game sheets, which is a total PITA.  I’ll have a look at the regular season during the Superb Owl bye week to make it up to ya.

I love this series. Also, I was going to make a joke about the referee in the NE-LAC game, but I have enough women that hate me already.

Wow! That’s interception must have been one hell of a catch for an Offsides penalty to deeply respect and admiration for it.

Rikki-Tikki-Deadly

I’m not sure how true this is, but it certainly seemed the vast majority of the penalties against the Patriots happened after halftime (i.e. after it didn’t matter anymore).
