This week in tWBS Depresses Everyone….
My father would have turned 80 years old yesterday had he lived. Unfortunately, he died a little over four years ago from Parkinson’s Disease. But truth be told, he had given up on life long before that and was just existing. For over a decade. That’s no way to live.
But before he gave up on life, and when he was still in his right mind, he loved the NBA. When we lived in Maryland, it was the Washington Bullets (not the Wizards you politically correct assholes). And then later, after relocating back to the North Carolina, the Charlotte Hornets. And then, the Charlotte Hornets, Part Deux. Or maybe Electric Boogaloo.
Doesn’t matter.
Anywhoooooo……
My father taught me sports when I was young. Later, as an adult, we attended sporting events together. The last meaningful interaction he and I had was attending a Charlotte Hornets game. They had just renamed themselves back to Hornets (ne Bobcats). He was losing his faculties by then, but going to that game perked him up. It was nice to see. Soon after that, he didn’t even recognize who I was anymore. Oh well. Shit happens.
But in honour of my father’s love of the NBA, this week it is Sexy NBA Girls !!!!!!

Last week was the only true “draft” we’ve had this year. Some of the others I’ve restricted the number of requests because the topic was too broad, which is basically the same thing as a draft I guess but, you know, like different and stuff.
