Thirsty Thursday Weekend Fútbol Preview and EPL Pool Update – EPL Round 8

We are back!  As you know, this is your weekly post to remind you to put the EPL tips in, tell you who is winning, and to give you the weekend’s fútbol schedule so that you could plan your weekend activities accordingly.

I am also using it to keep you up to speed on how we are doing on the two NFL Commentist competitions and to remind to put your tips in prior to tonight’s TNF game.

Before I begin, I want to give credit for all the hot lady soccer fan pictures to the Fútbol Babes Twitter account. Those folks do the Lord’s Work and deserve a follow from you.

I think, for the first time in all of the time in which DFO has been running tipping contests, we got a completely perfect week from a tipper. That, of course, means getting all the tips correct and getting the margin to zero. The person doing that was….. me.

It’s kinda lame that I got this on the same week that Litre_cola got a perfect 10 for 10 week in tipping! His margin was only 1. Ordinarily, all the accolades would have gone to him. As it is, we can both bask in the afterglow of 10 for 10 tipping.

There was a lot of movement elsewhere in the pool as many people had good weeks while others struggled.

If you want to join the pool, there is still plenty of time as we’ve only just completed Round 7 out of 38. It’s free to play and all you have to do is create an account with ESPN Australia. It’s a different ESPN from here, so your normal ESPN login will not work: https://www.footytips.com.au/competitions/?ff=settings&competitionId=573249

BONUS!

Just in time for the NFL Thursday Night Football Extravaganza, here is your reminder to put in your tips for the NFL Tipping Pool and for the DFO Eliminator Challenge. Links are below:

Tipping Pool: https://mobile.footytips.com.au/competitions/?ff=ladders&competitionId=575837

Eliminator Challenge: http://fantasy.espn.com/nfl-eliminator-challenge/2019/en/group?groupID=56874

After Week Four, there are still 14 Commentists left in the Eliminator Challenge as we had a bloodbath this last weekend. Tough luck to Don T, King Hippo, and Haywood Jablowme who placed his/her faith in the Indianapolis Colts to beat the lowly Raiders and were duly rewarded.

Not to be outdone, Packblaze, Litre_cola, Sally Can’t Dance, pitbullxx2, and I all picked the Rams to beat the Bucs at home and got kicked right out of the contest. Good luck to the illustrious 14 that live to pick another week!

As for the NFL Tipping Pool, here are the standings:

A big hearty well done to Litre_cola and Sharkbait, who got the top scores this week! There was movement all over the table as this was a rough week for tipping! Please remember that you get a 5 point bonus for picking all games correctly, so you can catch up quick!

As I mentioned above,

DON’T FORGET TO PUT THE FOOTY TIPS IN!

Balls somehow lost his bio and didn't realize it. He's now scrambling to write something clever and failing. He likes butts, boobs, most things that start with the letter B, and writing in the Second Person. Geelong, Toluca, Barcelona, and Steelers, in that order.

Unsurprised

L.A. would be well-served if the pelota guys or the churro vendors were replaced by hot latinas in thongs.

Senor Weaselo

I’d say hot churro vendors but at least in NYC subways it’s a law that they’re old Hispanic ladies.

Unsurprised

Same with the tamale ladies

King Hippo

I keep waiting and waiting for something special from Everton. Even bargaining down to competence ain’t worked.

The Right Reverend Electric Mayhem

Can’t wait for Spurs to disappoint me again.
