As for the Weaselo household, it’ll be a quiet Christmas. Most of our gifts are in the mail (I bought everything two days ago) so Madre Weaselo joked that we’ll be celebrating Orthodox Christmas/Little Christmas (Epiphany, January 6th). Both parental units are working—Padre Weaselo’s playing Christmas service, and Madre Weaselo works in a hospital and someone’s gotta work Christmas, especially COVID Christmas. Hermana Weaselo, living upstate, couldn’t come down because now her landlords have the ‘rona. I guess we’ll all see her at some point. She Facetimed us last night and’ll probably do so again later today.

Apparently a bomb inside an RV exploded in downtown Nashville this morning. Last I saw only a few people injured.
It’s a strange story so far. Clearly a major explosion and considerable damage, but it was placed (and timed) so that it didn’t hurt many people. Plus it was broadcasting a warning before it blew.
Why would the IRA attack Nashville?
They have VERY strong opinions about the Jay Cutler-Whatsherface divorce.

I stayed up pretty much most of the night checking for the flooded basement that thankfully never came, and the power outage that, so far, (knocks vigoUrously on wood), has not either. What has happened is the reappearance of my neighbor’s not-at-all-tiny cattle, who apparently took advantage of the wind to get out of the fence that had kept them in check for nearly a week.

How does the dog react? I’ve been debating using oil to sedate her when needed.
He seems a little calmer than usual, but I may be overthinking it. There’s not much difference, but also no one has appeared in our driveway either. That’ll be the real test.
