I realize it’s pedantic, but I’m not fond of my workplace switch from four- to five days per week. I got really comfortable having those Fridays off. It’s not that the six total hours of commitment is egregious, it’s just that it interrupts the relaxation of the day. I miss being able to go see movies opening day, or go hiking with the dogs. Little things.

I have been using the same dough recipe since I was a kid, so a little variety won’t kill me. The pain is waiting for it to rise; sometimes I try to cheat and avoid waiting the whole hour. It never works, and I vow not to do it again. That happens at least once per year.

When I was a kid we were good for 5 a year. This was actually a low total because we were the only shit kicking district that had roads worthy of being plowed. The absolute last school to call out. And there were a few days where I made the long walk only to meet locked doors. I guess it was good news, but they could have jumped on that announcement a little quicker.

For the gamer types, The Messenger is definitely one worth checking out. It starts out looking like an 8-bit Ninja Gaiden clone, then eventually turns into a time travel thing switching from 8 to 16-bit styles, then turns into a full-fledged Metroidvania style platformer. It’s so good.
