First off, congratulations to the Florida Gators and Bucky Badger for giving us our first truly epic game, where both teams fought like scalded dogs and nobody derped away the ending.  Florida just made the last unbelievable clutch, dagger play.

A friend of mine told me that the Jesuits were like the Marines of the Catholic church.  Well then, ooh-rah X!!  I recall talk about the Zags joining the “Catholic Seven” when the Big East re-formed in the wake of mass defections to the ACC. But ultimately, they stayed West, and slightly less geographically misfit Creigh-Creigh became side #10, joining #s 8 and 9 Xavier and Butler.  Anyway, this will be a fascinating matchup on many levels.  Really looking forward to it.

#3MW Oregon v. #1MW Kansas (8:49, TBS)

One of my hazy thoughts derived from this tourney is that I have vastly underestimated Dana Altman’s coaching chops.  He will rise even higher in my estimation if he can get the Ducks (and their retina-scalding unis) past this one.  Kansas, as always, can get right fucked.

My reply got eaten, but anyway my weekend is shit so far. I spent 6 hours or so, maybe 7+, working on a stupid 500-piece puzzle on not even completing it. I edited a wikia article this morning for almost 3 hours. I did leave the house, but JFC. This is sad.

The group is just utterly fascinating because they have shifted back and forth across the political spectrum so much.

Near as I can tell, his whole thing is that all of world history is a fight between Platonists, who believe in absolute truth, and Aristotelians, who rely on empirical data. All the evil in the world is from Aristotle logic being dominated and LaRouche should just be in charge.

I think he is still calling for using nuclear bombs to make water reservoirs in the desert.

I got to admit, Roanoke has completely grown on me. The down town is fully occupied which is fucking rare as fuck for most places I go for work. The restaurant scene is fantastic for a city of this size. There is something like 3 breweries and a distillery moving into the city in the next 3 or 4 years.

Now if the fucking city could learn how to handle snow removal…

I have done absolutely nothing this weekend.

I mean I signed off a bunch of documents on the house I am trying to move into, but other than that..I have just snoozed on the couch.

Most of my usual work drinking buddies are deployed overseas. I tend not to like hanging out with the townies here. I made the mistake of starting to prep to move (I am suppose to be closing on April 7th) so I already drank up my stock of booze. I don’t really see the point of paying someone to move booze bottles that are half empty, nor do I feel like dealing with the judgement.

My folks live 5 hours away. So my mother is prying into the whole home buying thing. I finally lamented into giving her the info so she could look the place up online.

So she likes it but then she starts going on and on that I need to get an interior decorator and that they (my parents) will find stuff for my place…my parents who are hoarders.

I tell her I will get an interior decorator (I never will) when the financial thing on my end gets stable but under no uncertain terms are they to get me anything for the house.

“Well you need to tell me and your father when you are moving so we can come down and help”

“I’m getting movers ma”

“JSD! Why would you waste your money. We can help you move”

“Let’s see Ma…I got spina bifida…Dad has a fused neck from surgery…and you got MS. So who exactly is moving the freaking couch?!?”
