To add to the “girl bar” discussion from earlier:
there’s a surprising amount of variation when it comes to weight bar. Freshman year I learned to do power cleans with a 25 lb bar with 2 big rubber 10 lbs weights on there. my form was shit and my arms were skinny. obviously I improved dramatically over time, but those lighter bars should be found in a standard weight room, and they serve their purpose.
anyways, I could see some d-bag calling the lighter bar “the girl bar” and the name sticking.

My most hilarious moments in gyms were d-bags try to squat more than they really could. I think the best was when a guy lost it and his head was trapped under the bar; all he had to do was to turn his head to extract himself from the situation, but he just did the squirrel trapped in a chimney routine for a while.

Whenever people visit me and want to get ‘authentic Mexican’ , I’m always surprised how much different it is than what they have back home (Midwest or north).
Like, I’ve had Mexican food lots of places and it’s usually fine. The salsa is typically most lacking (beans a close second) but it’s fine, all things considered. The one exception is places that substitute like tobasco for salsa or ground black pepper for fresh peppers. That’s an inexcusable offense. Be mild as shit before you are EVER peppery.
So, yeah, stay real on that.
